FUTURE FOR THE PLANET - FUTURE FOR US

On 22nd February 2018 we had a school debate during which we were trying to answer the question "How to be eco friendly? No more plastic bags!". What's more, the results of the school ecological contest "Global dangers" were announced to us.

On 18 January 2018 we had a very interesting meeting with a forester from the Forestry Management in Rybnik. She was invited to present us some information about animals living in our forests.We heard different animal voices and saw animal tracks. We learnt a lot about birds, especially winter bird feeding. In the second part of the assembly we were encouraged to take part in  another school ecological contest "Global dangers".

November 2017 was the month when we organized the contest between our students classes in order to develop their conscience about environment protection.Every class had to collect as many plastic bottles as they could and together with their teachers they went to commercial centers where they saw the process of collecting and recycling the plastic bottles by the devices specially put now in our shops here. It was a great pleasure for them to compete for this and they also had the self efficiency feeling . This activity is part of our new Erasmus project "Future for the Planet -  Future for US" ,   KA.2 Erasmus Strategic Partnertship  , funded by  The European Union through Erasmus Program .

 what we know- what we want to know-what have we learned At the end of October  group of 25 students and 11 teachers took part in the library of our school at the activity that aimed to found out what our students know about environment , environmental issues in our country and environment protection . We discussed together about these subjects and we were pleased to see the pleasure and the involvement of our students in this topic. Beside the things they knew , our students showed a lot of interest in our partner's  countries and wanted to found out what are the issues they are facing regarding the environment. At the end of this activity I proposed that the next activity will be a contest between classes regarding recycling as a strategy to get involved in environment protection . On 12 December 2017 another Erasmus + assembly was held in our school. That time we focused on animal care and homless animals charity as part as our annual school project Winter Action .  During our meeting we were talking about the different ways to help abandoned animals, especially at winter time. Some of us handed in food and blankets we would take for dogs and cats in the animal shelter in Rybnik.     The results of the school SMOG art contest were announced too.    And the photos of our visit in the animal shelter in Rybnik.

We have now completed a project on loal production of food. We have been involved in harvesting, production and sales. We have picked the apples in a local park. Then they are squeezed to juice at Fonte Verdi Fruit Pressery in Molde. Big thanks to the holder Ton Hazes that is so generous and invited us to come and press apples with him. On 8th December 2017, a group of our parents were involved in school Christmas Floristy Workshops "Christmas decorations made from natural materials" . They used i.a. pine-cones, bark or moss to create various awesome Christmas decorations.   But, we  took part in the workshops organised in our school common room. Our task was to make  Christmas floral table decorations too. Additionally, some of us participated in the school Christmas contest "Eco angel and eco Christmas tree" .We all had a great time together!
