Nature reserves in our neighborhood, Bålsta, Sweden We have worked with Nature reserves. In Sweden, and in Bålsta, there are a lot of nature reserves. It´s a challenge of our region to beware the nature, the birds, the flowers, the drinkable water in our big lake Mälaren and to be able to breathe the air. We live in a part of Sweden where there is a lot of people, industries and traffic. We people are stressing our region hard. The nature reserves is an important deal of environmental work in our region. Why do we have nature reserves? Apple harvesting and pressing
We have now completed a project on loal production of food. We have been involved in harvesting, production and sales. We have picked the apples in a local park. Then they are squeezed to juice at Fonte Verdi Fruit Pressery in Molde. Big thanks to the holder Ton Hazes that is so generous and invited us to come and press apples with him. Challenges for the Planet
As part of our project ans also as a preparation for the coming visit of our parteners we asked everybdy to write about their country specific tree and then we bought them and plant it in our school yard . This activity is aimed also to raise awareness upon the deforestration that is affecting a lot our areas in Romania . Deforestration is a big challenge for us because there are a lot of illegal wood cuts and people think for a material benefit but dot see the impact of this on human life, animal life and land sliding.
